Every volunteer counts

We rely on hundreds of Volunteers every year to help us ensure that every Camper experiences the Magic of Ooch, no matter where they are in Ontario. Our Event & Office Volunteers are no exception.

Whether you’re processing mail at the office, selling raffle tickets at our Gala, or working the merchandise table at our Ooch Muskoka Open House, your time helps kids affected by childhood cancer.

We thank you in advance because we couldn’t do any of this without you!

Volunteer roles

Event Volunteers

As an Ooch Event Volunteer, you’ll work with our Development department at community fundraising and engagement events. Whether it’s handing out medals at the Sporting Life 10k finish line, helping out at the silent auction at our Gala, or helping us prepare for an upcoming event – you’ll have lots of opportunities to help out.

Most Event Volunteers are needed between April and October and you’ll be contacted as opportunities arise via email. These opportunities to volunteer take place across Ontario in communities like Toronto, Niagara, Muskoka, Ottawa, London, Prince Edward County and more.

Office Volunteer

If you’re looking to volunteer during regular business hours, we also accept Volunteers to help with mailings, data entry, administrative tasks and a variety of other projects at our office.

Office Volunteers come to Ooch Downtown in Toronto during regular business hours (Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm) and take on valuable projects that help bring more kids to Camp.

Frequently asked questions

How often would I be required to volunteer in the office?

Ooch works with our Office Volunteers to find a schedule that works for you. Ideally, we look for Volunteers to commit at least 3-4 hours every two weeks.

What will happen after I submit my inquiry form?

You’ll be contacted by an Ooch staff member within one week to discuss your interests and availability. You may be asked to come in for an interview.

Will I be volunteering with Ooch Campers and families?

Event & Office Volunteers don’t interact with Ooch Campers and families. If you’d like to get involved in Ooch programs, check out our Camp Volunteer page for more information.
